Top National A Cappella Groups Join Together to Raise Money for Virginia Tech Victims
Take 6 and Rockapella headline 'Hokie Nation' CD, 'For Today' CD Project Aims for $20,000

Richmond, VA – Top professional and collegiate groups across the country have announced their participation in an a cappella compilation CD aimed at raising money for the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund setup to benefit the victims of the April 16th, 2007 shootings at Virginia Tech. In an extended effort of the 'For Today' CD Project, which featured 27 collegiate a cappella groups from Virginia and raised over $10,000 in one month, 16 a cappella groups will appear on a compilation named 'Hokie Nation'.

Grammy Award winning artist, Take 6, and "America's Leading A Cappella Group", Rockapella, both headline the 'Hokie Nation' CD. Other top professional groups from across the country include: Blue Jupiter, The House Jacks, Transit, Cadence, Hookslide, Firedrill!, and m-pact.
Also included on the CD are some of the nation's top collegiate a cappella groups including: University of Pennsylvania Off the Beat, Tufts University Beelzebubs, University of North Carolina Clef Hangers, Cornell University Last Call, Virginia Tech Juxtaposition, Harvard University Callbacks, Boston University Dear Abbys, Brigham Young University Vocal Point, and Oregon University Off the Rocks.

The album is currently being sold for $15.00 at the projects official web site, ForTodayCD.com. The album will go into production on June 1st, 2007 and should begin shipping on June 15th, 2007.
Due to the donations of all parties involved in the project, 100% of all sales of the album will go directly to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. A project-long target of a $20,000 contribution has been set.
