The guys sat down to answer a few of your questions this week and here's what they had to say...
Has there ever been a fan brought up on stage who might have been a little out of control due to their excitement? If so, how do you handle this? Is it terribly distracting to your performance, or is it just something funny to laugh about after the show? Best wishes from a loyal and appreciative fan living in Redneck Central...Piqua, Ohio.
Scott Leonard: I don't remember there ever being anybody that got too out of hand. I do remember one dear lady that was absolutely petrified with stage fright once she came up. She seemed perfectly at ease beforehand, but when she sat down on stage she became so uncomfortable that she just turned and faced the back of the stage. She went catatonic, and wouldn't even look at us. We all felt terrible, and tried to speed up and get it over with as quickly as possible, but by the end, everyone was scarred for life.

When will you fellas be releasing a new album, and will you be making it to Ohio this year? We will be sad if you dont!...Thanks...Rob Taulbee
Scott Leonard: We don't have any plans right now to release a new album, and so far I don't see any concerts in Ohio on the calendar. Sorry. Maybe lobby your congressperson.
Was "People Change" influenced by Pachelbel’s Canon or is the resemblance accidental?
Scott Leonard: I'm not sure when I realized the chord progression was the same. I think I had either the verse or the chorus and then I realized the link and then kind of went with it to please my college professors.
Hey guys! I know for a fact that at least some of you if not all were at one time involved in theatre. I'm curious to know about your theatrical experiences or of any particular plays/musicals you might like. Thanks!
Taryn
Kevin Wright: I was involved in theatre shows for many years and actually moved from Florida to NYC to pursue my Broadway dreams. I love the theatre and still love to catch shows when I can. I think it’s such a great world (theatre) for anyone who enjoys performing to be able to take on a character and bring it to life. I think my favorite show of all time is Les Miz because it was so different when it first started and talk about wonderful music and the depth of the characters, Amazing! The other that really stands out to me was a show that I had part of the creation in called BRING IN THE MORNING. Awesome music and to be in a show that no one has ever done before and create from scratch was great. If you are ever in NYC at Lincoln Center Library you can watch it there. Thanks for the interest!
Hi there Jeff, I was browsing the internet when I noticed a passage from you which led me to your page on the Rockapella site in which you state you have Nik Kershaw's "You've Got To Laugh" on your ipod at present..........my question to you is, are you a fan of Nik's and what do you think of the album?
Jeff Thacher: I am a big fan, and the album is a good one. Nik Kershaw is one of the survivors of the 1980’s who has a tremendous amount of songwriting talent, regardless of the decade he writes in. He also plays much of the instruments on his work. He started as one of a handful of one-man-band synth pioneers and after writing, producing, and playing for other artists following his radio success in the UK and other parts of the world, he resurfaced in the late 1990s with some killer material, using very few synthesizers. His three very un-processed albums since then are some of the best I’ve heard from anyone. He’s not on a record label anymore...just playing and selling to fans, and he has an unusual voice. I like that he’s his own man, both in sound and in writing.
