9:00 AM – We all cram into the shuttle van, and depart for the Buffalo airport.
10:00 AM – Another candy and energy drink breakfast. It’s so unhealthy, but it works so well.
12:30 PM – Depart Buffalo for NYC, get annoyed by loudmouth on the plane. We found out this was his first time to fly, so it was obviously a nervous reaction.
1:30 PM – Arrive in NYC, grab the rental cars, and head out for Ridgefield, CT.
3:30 PM – Finally, we get to Ridgefield. It took the Florida guys an hour, it took us two hours. What gives? Anyway, we drop Fred off directly at the venue.
4:00 PM – Jeff and I check in to the hotel, and then head for the nearby mall. Jeff takes one of the funniest Easter Bunny pictures I’ve ever seen.
7:30 PM – The DHS Madrigals hit the stage, with some well-done arrangements.
8:10 PM – Rockapella hits the stage.
11:00 PM – Jeff and Fred load up the car and drive back home to NYC. The rest of us drop George off at the hotel, then search for a meal. We end up settling for a take-out pizza place. The co-owner truly might have been a Mafia member. He was really nice, and Kevin pointed out that he kind of looked like Joe Perry from Aerosmith. We also met a guy who couldn’t wrap his head around music without instruments, especially the idea of vocal percussion. He offered to make a clicking sound for the band. Unfortunately, he never offered to get sober first, therefore eliminating his eligibility to be the next Rockapella Idol.
12:00 AM – Catch a little of Peyton Manning on SNL, go to sleep.
