5:15 AM – Wake-up call. For some reason, I thought somebody might be calling me at this hour, and I spent fifteen seconds on the phone going, “Hello? Hello? This is Justin. Hello?” The next thought in my head? “I’m an idiot.”
6:10 AM – I meet George and John in the lobby. Scott and Kevin took a van to Providence airport, about 25 minutes away.
6:15 AM – A limo pulls up out front. Here was the conversation in the lobby:
Justin: Is that for us? I thought they were sending a van.
George: No, I saw that yesterday. It’s for a wedding party.
John: A wedding party?
George: Yeah, I saw them getting into it yesterday.
John: Yeah, but that can’t be for the wedding party.
George: I think that’s what it’s for.
John: At 6:00 in the morning?
The driver said it was for George, John, and Justin. Even in our early morning haze, it was clear that if we were leaving that early, at least we were doing it in style.
7:15 AM – After getting another hour of sleep, we arrive at Boston Logan. George and John are dropped off at the Delta terminal, I go to the Continental terminal.
8:00 AM – Jeff and Fred leave the hotel to drive back to NYC.
8:10 AM – My sleepiness becomes apparent, when I try to get through security still wearing my shoes. How many times have I done this?
10:25 AM – My flight leaves for Houston.
1:35 PM (time change): I arrive in Houston.
