Q. What about all those Rockapella songs found on internet file sharing services?
A. Rockapella.com replies:
There are many a cappella MP3 files circulating around the internet with Rockapella's name attached to them, but not Rockapella's voices. Usually they're collegiate a cappella groups of 12-18 members and the file has been mis-labeled and uploaded by a student. They're definitely not the 5-man professional group, Rockapella. It's sad but true. There are lots of things on the internet that aren't truthful or accurate. You've all said that you enjoy making music with one another. What I was wondering was what kind of music do you enjoy listening to?

Rockapella is a pretty diverse group of people. Modern rock/pop/r&b, jazz vocalists, electronica, big band, you name it. It influences members of Rockapella. Like many experienced adult musicians, their CD collections run a wide range of styles, often departing completely from what you'd expect or assume. The common factor appears to be good-songs-played-well.
